Roxboro HA Receives Grant for Afterschool Program

ROXBORO, NC.-Roxboro Housing Authority (RHA) continues to receive statewide attention for its youth initiatives.

Last week, RHA received a $22,000 grant from the N.C. Council for Women and Youth Involvement to continue providing free meals and or snacks along with STEM instruction, tutoring and fun activities.

The Roxboro Housing Authority Afterschool Program starts Mon., Nov. 4, 2019.  Times are from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.

The afterschool program is free and open to the public.  Parent waivers are required. RHA children have sign-up priority for 20 open slots.   

Volunteers to help with tutoring along with gift certificates from local businesses are requested.
