RHA offers adult education classes for its residents and the general public through a partnership with Piedmont Community College.
Boys Initiative
This is an effort to mentor boys from ages 6-13 that live at Harris Gardens Community. The young men meet weekly, hearing positive messages from local leaders, enjoy a snack and have fun with their peers.

A HUD Sponsored Initiative to Empower Men, Women and Children
Family Self-Sufficiency Program Graduates
FSS Graduates receive checks for completing a five-year program to move away from welfare and toward self sufficiency.
Girls Initiative
This is also an effort to mentor girls from ages 6-13 that live at Harris Gardens Community. They learn from community leaders about various topics about growing from being a girl into womanhood. Snacks are provided and fun at the playground is a must at the end most meetings.
